Drops Caps
I will be including a drops caps, but I am not yet sure where it will be placed.
Byline
I have decided to include a byline, and I am going to be making it up. In my opinion this adds to formality as well as showing the magazine overall will have variety of content. I decided for the author to be ' Monique Gray'.
Main Body
I will be typing this us on microsoft word shortly and simply pasting it onto the editing software. I thought this would be easier so that grammatical help will be provided. This is vital to ensure the magazine is professional.
Interview
This will take up one of my DPS. As with the main text of my DPS' I will be typing this us on microsoft word shortly and simply pasting it onto the editing software. I thought this would be easier so that grammatical help will be provided. This is vital to ensure the magazine is professional.
Caption
I will decide on my captions when I have decided on the photos I will be using. This will be a brief description of the image above, but made more lively for the mass market audience.
Design Elements
For the design element of my magazine, I am going to focus on the maintenance of the colour scheme, banners, the logo and also the typeface to keep up the afrobeat genre feel.
Images
I will be using a variety of images on my DPS, and I am hoping to add some sub-images, but I am not entirely sure.
Sub-Headings
'Young, Fun...&full of tunes' is going to be my main sub-heading. I decided there will also be a sub-heading in the form of a banner giving insight as to who THE RE UP are.
Graphics
When creating my magazine I am going to try hard to add emphasis on the design elements on the DPS to make it fun and entertaining.
Columns
Columns are going to be vital in how I structure my magazine. They will be used throughout to ensure the layout replicates a real magazine.
Standfirst
I have decided that a standfirst would be a good idea, as it gives quick insight as to who the artists' are in my magazine. 'The DYNAMIC DUO...Young, Fun...&full of tunes...ready to HYPE your inner ego'.
Magazine Logo
I am yet to design my logo for my magazine, however I am keeping it very simple. As the magazine is going to be called 'AfrocentriX', I have decided the logo will be 'AX'. The 'A' will be alternating colours, and the 'X' plain white to represent the masthead as well as the brand identity. This will be on a mini-banner.
Date
The date that my magazine will have on it will be '31st Dec 2016', New Years Eve Edition.
Page Numbers
These will be at the bottom of the pages of the DPS so content can be differentiated.
