Firstly, I brightened both photos to allow me to decide on the image I would use for my front page. I decided the photo on the left is better at it allows me to keep space for coverlines. I have placed both an edited and non-edited version of both images next to eachother so the change can be seen.

I then removed the background for my selected photo.

I did not have to make any major adjustments here in terms of impurities as plenty of makeup was worn.

In this video, you will see the editing process that I went through on Adobe Photoshop  in order for my magazine to look appealing. Firstly, as you can see I used the Quick Selection tool and selected the area that I wanted to keep. By zooming in  and out of the image along with changing the brush size, I was able to concentrate on small areas and make sure everything was selected properly. After the area I wanted was properly selected, I inversed the image so it would focus on the background. Next, I used the Background Eraser tool to get rid of the background and still keep the area I wanted as it was selected. My end result was the image without the background intruding .
